Dir. Terence Davies. UK 1992, 85 min, 35mm, Cert PG
We regret to say that we cannot provide AD or DS for this screening.
1950s Liverpool transforms into a Hollywood spectacle through the gaze of Bud, a stand-in for writer-director Terence Davies. From Mahler to Doris Day, Davies crafts a sublime impression of a time and place which no longer exists.
In the intro and discussion, writer and curator Lillian Crawford explores the autistic imagination through the lens of the film, considering how cinema can express our innermost thoughts. There will be a 5 minute break before the discussion.
The film will be preceded by a short film:
Home! Home!
